When the 20s get you down watch a feel good show about women living their best lives in NYC in their 30s but which one are you most like?

The icons of the 2000s who show the dynamic of girl groups – we all know a Carrie, Charlotte, Samantha and a Miranda. The fashionistas with their own style and personalities that are crafted so well over the seasons.
Carrie Bradshaw

The writer. The women with the love for a Cosmopolitan and a classic pair of Manolo Blahniks. She has an underrated fashion sense and a habit for making self-sabotaging moves when it comes to her romantic life. Even when things go wrong, she still has a strong perseverance in optimism and support for her friends. She may have her flaws – taste for expensive shoes, a smoking addiction, and a little bit of self-centered ignorance. But, even with these flaws, Carrie is usually the first one to realise when something is wrong with her friends and is there to offer help. A curly haired girl with a love for a bit of drama -although there’s not much wrong with that.
Her aesthetic fits a slightly chaotic but put-together style: even when she’s running late she’s the epitome of fashion with an effortless chic look. The glue of the group, she loves all her friends equally, and can always keep a secret. She may not be perfect, but she’s represents the reality of a successful single woman with a more complicated storyline than some watchers dare to understand.
Charlotte York

The Art dealer. The ‘eternal optimist’ who believes in story book tales of love and happiness. She may seem more traditional than the rest, but she isn’t afraid to stands up for herself and her beliefs while always supporting her friends in her own way.
She is a soft romantic with an elegant, understated fashion sense that will last the test of time. Her passion for art, her friends, and a stable love life is characterised by a shy courage – the combination of an introvert and extravert. Carrie isn’t the only one with flaws, Charlotte has an overly narrow view of single life. Her highly focussed desire on marriage makes her take for granted not only enjoying her single life, but belittling her single friends for their relationship status. Charlotte overcomes this with the help of her friends and the realisation that marriage isn’t all it’s made out to be.
Charlotte is sweet, kind and always a glass half full kind of girl. Even with problems she never gives up on any of her desires in life and for her friends. Not only this, but she has an intelligence often taken for granted, and when she knows what she wants she won’t stop until she’s achieved it.
Samantha Jones

The PR firm owner. She is fierce and bold, never failing to speak her mind even to Charlotte’s dismay. She remains fierce and bold in her friendships and love life – and is not afraid to be unapologetically herself. She knows who she is and never lets anyone make her feel small. Her fashion is always classy, glamourous and reflecting her confidence. Her sense of humour and ability to talk to her friends about anything and everything is both positive and negative – although she never lets this stop her.
She supports women’s rights and women’s wrongs especially in the case of Carrie. She offers a level of support and loyalty that is not seen as strongly in the other characters – she may not be the first one the girls go to for advice but she’ll always be there to have their back. In essence she is a highly successful woman who knows her worth and wants people around her and her partner to treat her in that way and meet her at that level. A true diva who will always stand up for herself and the people around her.
Miranda Hobbes

The Lawyer. She has a love for her career but never lets it get in the way of spending time with friends or relationships. Making partner at her law firm, she is highly successful and career driven, but had calculated the perfect work-life balance and always has time and energy for both areas of her life. She is always there as a first point of call for Carrie, and is always ready to give a helping hand to Charlotte and Samantha whether it be relationship or legal advice.
She has an underrated elegance, with her classy business-wear style that compliments her high contrast features. Her wit and humour combined with her honesty is just a part of what makes her a great friend. She may not have it all figured out, but she is always trying to grow and improve herself – she’s someone who can dish out the honesty and wants the same back. As a woman in a male dominated field she maintains her confidence, honesty, and feminist opinions which makes her even more iconic. Her moments of doubt, anxieties, and shyness don’t get her down, and when the time comes she can come back out her shell to make her presence known. Her character may have some troubles and inconsistencies but she remains an icon (especially pre Steve….).
Sex and the City teaches you to be unapologetically yourself, stand up for your beliefs and your friends, and always maintain a good fashion sense.
